It is possible to put an extension bracket on the hood, but it will cost an additional 15.00 There is another option that won't cost you anything, and I think it looks better, too. With the Black Widows, you can rotate the hood 180 degrees on the "L" bracket so that the hood will be positioned forward of the limb bolt. Then attach the arrow clip unit so it sets back of the limb bolt. Line up the two components so they are parallel, and tighten the screws down. This will put your arrows at an angle to the bow, with fletching coming behind the bow (toward the shooter), thus keeping your arrows out of the dirt.
The conversion kit is necessary for the Black Widow bows, and consists of two longer limb bolts, two brass bezels, two brass "cone" bushings, and tow "O" rings.
